Often the pages that accept advertising will already have ads on them or will have a message like the following: Sorry, no advertisements accepted currently. In the future, banner ads of 468x60 size will be accepted to be displayed in rotation with other ads here. Contact me. What type of ads are accepted? Currently, only banner ads of 468x60 pixels in jpeg or gif format. Animated gifs are accepted only if the animation is subtle and not distractive. Plain text ads of less than 1K size (about a thousand characters) are also accepted. How much does it cost to place an ad on that particular page? Paid advertising is currently not accepted at rajiv.com. Sometimes certain ads are placed free of charge. What are our chances of getting our ad placed free of charge? They are quite high if It is for a good cause. Something like collecting food and clothing for people in need would qualify. Basically anything that helps other people, irrespective of their race, culture, religion, affiliation, geographic location or condition. Does my ad or company have to be related to India in some way? No. I want to place my ad at the location of my choice. (Eg. on the top of a particular page or on a page that does not accept advertising) Sorry, that request is unlikely to be entertained. How do I submit an ad? Contact me. In the same e-mail, specify where you'd like the ad placed, where clicking on it should lead to, and any other relevant information including how you'd like to make payments or a request for the ad to be placed free of charge. Also, please do describe (or point to a description of) the nature of your business. How long will my ad stay on the page? What will be its estimated display percentage relative to other ads on the page? A detailed answer to this will be given before the site starts accepting paid advertising. How many hits/page views/users does that particular page get? A regular log report will be available before the site starts accepting paid advertising. No reports are available currently. It is based on trust and goodwill. If you don't have any, don't advertise here. What will you do with the advertising money? Use some of it for advertising my site on other sites. Keep some of it for myself, for my family and my friends. Give some of it for good causes.
